Boy am I behind!! This picture if from three weekends ago!! But we did have a WONDERFUL time with Grandpa, Grandma and Auntie Carrie Morrison. It was a quick visit, but worth every second.

The guys headed out in one direction... and us girls in another. I was told the men were shooting guns (for 6 hours??). We women set out for a much more important session of shopping and visiting my favorite coffee shop, Bully's Blends.

We came home for a quick pizza dinner... then off to Roosevelt Park Ice Arena for a family skate night. Carrie and Justin have skated on and off over the years... so were pretty comfortable on skates.
I do "ok"... and Dirk is doing GREAT considering he has only been on skates a total of 3 times so far.
Of course Thor skates circles around us all... he's used to skating as fast as he can in hocky... though not really STOPPING a lot. He has gotten better at this since Christmas THANK GOODNESS!!


Grandma Annette was so nice to keep Liv company while we skated... I think they had a wonderful time too.

Thor is teaching himself how to skate backwards... he is as good as me going forwards... but he gets tired of looking over his shoulder.

The most fun news of the evening was that Anika learned how to skate on her own!! It was amazing how fast she transitioned from acting like a wet noodle ... couldn't hold herself up... to skating on her own without even holding onto anyone's hand! Pretty cool! Wish it was that easy for all of us!
