Blessed Snowy Easter!

The Moeller/Morrison families gathered for a double celebration this past weekend at the T Moeller residence, rural Hot Springs. (Do I sound like I'm writing for the Social Column in the Rosholt Review?)

Double? Theo's baptims and our Easter family celebration. I was in charge of fresh fruit (strawberries, oranges and pinnapple), hollandaise sauce and plastic candy-filled Easter eggs for the out-door HUNT!

Is two out of three OK?

Sunday morning started out EARLY for us all -- Dirk, the children and I started out from Piedmont and found a lovely covering of snow everywhere about half-way to Hot Springs.

Holli and Jason asked us to be sponsors for Theo. It reminds us of our committment to raise our own kids in the truth of God's Word... any way we can help and encourage Holli and Jason is our honor. Theo cooperated quite well... even though his HAIR has a life of it's own. I don't think his hair even wiggled during the "sprinkling"... It's kind of like a beaver's pelt... just pushing the water away to protect his head!!

We took a moment after the service to pose for family pictures. Thank goodness dad had his cameral there. We still have not gotten a picture (that we own) of our new family of 5 ... until now! And we were even dressed up! (smiles)

NOW the kids were finally happy - time to head home for the EGG HUNT, and Easter brunch, games, hot tub, etc. I think Anika was ready to do all 4 things in the first 10 minutes.... Would have been a long day after that??

Jan and Ted put on a wonderful brunch -- as always, we ate about twice what we really needed (Did I mention she baked a turkey for supper just in case anyone got hungry later??!)

Then came the bad news... Dirk didn't know I was bringing plastic eggs... I thought Dirk had grabbed the bag the night before and put them in the truck.... So... no candy filled eggs for the hunt! Not to dismay... Uncle Ted and friends Dar and Gwen came to our rescue. Jan had bundles of hard boiled colored eggs, Gwen brought 8 foil wrapped Cadbury carmel filled eggs, and a bag of small foil wrapped chocolate eggs, and last but not least: a bubble wand for each big kid.

The race was on!! Egg hunts really are much more fun outside -- and in the country! The kids were racing all over the place... well, not down the cliffs... but everywhere else!

Thor even got to go on a short ride on his dirt bike... and everyone warmed up in the hot tub ... I also learned a new game: Chicken Foot. It's a version of Dominos... with double 15 tiles... I've never played with so many dots before! We thought it might take until 11:30 p.m to finish... and I think we did end a couple rounds earlier than a 'full' game... but it was GREAT fun. A definate MUST for the Moeller Family Kamp Kinship weekend!

By the way... Thor and Anika invited neighbors Hunter and Ashley over for a 2nd egg hunt on Monday... not like we needed more candy!?
